We provide quality rest home care in Hamilton within a friendly, caring and homely environment designed to fit you and your loved ones needs.

Brylyn Rest Home is a family owned and operated facility providing quality care with a homely touch in a semi rural setting that responds to our residents individual needs with a uniquely personal approach.

We provide a range of services which include long and short term care, day care, respite care and convalescent care for both the elderly and under 65's. Recently Brylyn was awarded with a 3 year certification from the 'Waikato District Health Board' to provide residential care. We are extremely proud of this achievement and is a reflection of the quality of our staff, carers and service.

General Conclusion on System Performance and Compliance with the Standard
Brylyn Residential Care continues to deliver a very high standard of care to residents. On the day of the audit 28 of the 34 beds were occupied. In addition to long stay residential care the organisation also provides respite and day care. The nurse manager has been in the position since 2009. Staffing is generally stable with many staff having been employed for several years. There is one other registered nurse who works on the weekends and while the nurse manager is away.During the audit both residents and relatives were interviewed. All expressed they are very happy with the staff, in particular the nurse manager and the activities coordinator, and with all services provided.

General Overview
Brylyn Residential Care continues to provide rest home level care for up to 34 residents. On the day of the audit there were 28 residents in the facility. The rest home is situated just Northwest of Hamilton in a rural setting. The nurse manager has been at the facility since 2009 and has extensive experience in aged care. Staffing is stable and staff are well trained in their roles and responsibilities. All criteria audited are fully attained and there is evidence that improvements are ongoing.
During the audit both residents and relatives were interviewed. All expressed a high degree of satisfaction with all aspects of the service. Residents and relatives report that communication amongst staff and management is open and honest.

Day Care Yes Day care available 7 days per week. $35 per day . Includes cooked main meal at lunchtime, morning and afternoon tea. We have a contract with the Waikato DHB for this service and funding could be available through Waikato DHB.

Special Features
We are a rest home in a semi rural environment which has a family like astmosphere. We have a cook who caters to individual needs and likes on a daily basis. Currently there is a retirement village being built around the rest home , this will comprise of 23 free standing houses.

Please follow these directions due to construction work related to the new motorway. They apply regardless if you are travelling from Auckland or Hamilton.

Take Ruffell Road (which is off Te Rapa Road) , go over the railway line and turn right onto Onion Road, take the first left onto the new motorway. Go along motorway until you come to a round a bout , turn left at the round about and the rest home is 50 metres along on your left.
