Interests & Activities

We have a 5 day per week activity programme and residents are encouraged to participate. These activities include indoor bowls, art and crafts, music (on our surround sound system), bingo and petanque. We have many and varied outings including the park at Virginia Lake and seaside visits.

We have exercise programmes every 2nd morning to keep fit and active.

A favourite activity of many residents is advising and supervising our gardener and tending our raised gardens. When the mood suits, joining in with the happy hour (more like a happy 30 minutes really) before lunch on Tuesday's and Thursday's. The traditional lunchtime fare on a Friday is fish and chips and is a favourite for most of the residents.

The Home of Compassion also provides an email service throught the administration and more of our residents receive their mail this way however many still prefer to use the post office mail system as well or recieving a fax.

Children and small pets are encouraged to visit and this provides a wonderful diversion for all concerned.
