Special Features
At Annie Brydon's we have really good staff and as such a low staff turnover. This helps residents to form lasting relationships with thier carers. The facility is owner operated - with a lot of the staff being involved in the overall management decisions.

Interests & Activities

We have a fantastic activities coordinator who works approximately 20 hours per week. She runs a very interesting and varied programme for our residents. Particularly popular are our visits from the local kindergarten and other children's groups.

Our resident's also go on visits to the local SPCA and farms and enjoy trips to the local rugby games especially the Ranfurly Shield challenge.

We have twice weekly bus trips to varied places of interest as well as arts and crafts, newspaper reading bingo and board games and lots of musical entertainers.

We also have exercise sessions and residents are able to get out and help with the garden or with the cooking in the kitchen if they want.

The library also visits and we have contact with the Senior Citizens club regularly.

Details re Meals We have excellent meals cooked on site. Our menu is rotated on a seasonal basis. Home baking is available for afternoon tea and residents can help themselves between meals to fruit and hot drinks.

Parks 0.50 km King Edward Park with gardens, playgrounds, lake and sports field is very close by. Also The Hub which is the new sports ground and swimming pool complex is just a short drive away.
