| Whare Aroha is situated near the heart of Rotorua City within easy walking distance of the lakefront, Government Gardens, RSA, City and within a warm, homely and stimulating environment. We aim to make life as normal and satisfying as possible. The needs of the individual are our first concern. |

Alzheimer's Society (support group, educational updates, coffee morning monthly), Arthritis society, Blind Foundation (volunteers support), Parkinson's Society (support group, monthly meeting), RSA (within walking distance, liase with RSA personnel), Service women, Servicemen, Senior Citizens (available if required), Stroke Group (attend meetings twice yearly, shared lunch, social activities), Support Group Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maori Women's Welfare League, Art twice weekly with professional tutor, Cards daily with Diversional Therapist, weekly Church service, Craft weekly, Electric beds, Entertainment (cultural groups, childrens groups, music, bells), Exercises daily, strong Garden focus, Happy Hour as requested, indoor games (bowls, quoits, darts, ball handling), Library through city library/diversional, Massage daily as requested, outdoor games (petanque), in-house movies, Music weekly, Views over garden and lake, daily Newspaper reading, daily Quizzes, weekly Shopping, Videos, Outings (facility van with 2 wheelchair access), Walks to lake, city gardens, museums etc.
