Special Features
Waiapu House has been providing the best care for the elderly in Havelock North for over 50 years. The Centre is set in five acres of attractively landscaped gardens at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac close to the Havelock North village.

The 32 room continuing care hospital is the newest addition to Waiapu House. This new facility provides lots of natural lighting, landscaped internal gardens and a friendly home like atmosphere.

Architectually designed with the needs of our residents in mind, it features the latest concepts in hospital planning; it is decorated throughout to create an inviting, homely environment. The bedrooms all have their own ensuites and some rooms open out onto patio garden areas.

Interests & Activities

Referrals made to support groups when appropriate (eg Azheimer's Society), Chapel onsite with resident Chaplain, craft, email, internet, entertainment, exercises, vegetarian meals available, local library visits, movies, music, newspaper reading, shopping, Sky TV, videos, outings.
Activities programme 5 days per week. Van outings, visiting groups, entertainment and social hour.
