| This facility is owner operated and is situated in a quiet no-exit street. It covers about 2/3 acre in the heart of picturesque Epsom. The grounds are park-like with flowers, native trees and seating in shady spots for our residents. Most of St. Patrick's is purpose built while the original villa remains at the front. We are indeed fortunate to be in the heart of the city yet in such a quiet and peaceful street with all amenities close by.
A variety of accomodation is offered at St. Patrick's. For rest home residents there are five motel-like units and four bedrooms in a former owners house (Grandma's Cottage)for semi-independent living. They fully integrate with the facility and its activities. In addition, St. Patrick's has 37 hospital beds for our less able residents. As owner/managers we are dedicated to providing the very best of care and we have many testimonials from families of former and current residents. We live within eight minutes of the facility and both work as caregivers/management. All staff are expected to attend our regular in-service training sessions to keep updating their skills. We often use outside educators for more specialised training. The very highest standard of care and cleanliness is expected at all times by management from staff. We are certified to provide hospital and rest home services until November 2014. We have well-developed quality assurance systems with regular audits and monitoring to ensure we maintain the very highest of standards. |
