The Nurse Maude Hospital specialises in providing a comfortable home for people with complex clinical needs, without premiums or part charges.

We strive to maintain patients' dignity, comfort and sense of contentment.

We believe that open consultation benefits the patient, family, loved ones and staff alike.

Because we are small and quality focused our residents get the best individualised attention.

We are a non-profit organisation that has a 39 bed Hospital as part of its services, along with Hospice Palliative Care, Community Nursing and Home Care Services.

Our Hospital Doctor ensures patients' receive appropriate medical and nursing care.He visits the hospital each week day and is available after hours.

We are unique in offering an on-site Allied Health team including a Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.

Our staffing levels are high and we are fortunate in being able to offer full expert care from Nurse Maude specialist staff including Wound Care Specialist, Continence Specialists, Dietitian, Palliative Care Specialists and other key health professionals.

Our central location is great for visiting families, and for residents who remain mobile, the proximity to Merivale makes it easy for family to take mum or dad for social outings

Exercises - twice weekly excercise clases are popular with residents.
Sky TV - available in one of the lounges. The building is wired for Sky so you may arrange installation directly with the Sky company if you wish.

Details re Meals Catered for by Nurse Maude's kitchen. Top quality meals with menus supervised by our on-site Dietitian and a consultant Dietitian. Being a small facility, we strive to cater for individual needs. Home made morning and afternoon teas with a selection of sandwiches, muffins and cakes/slices.Hot cheese rolls are a speciality!
Staffing Details Registered Nurses on duty 24 hours, 7 days. Enrolled nurses and Hospital Aides make up the workforce. Clinical Nurse Manager on-site five days a week (and on call at weekends), and a Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist visits regularly. Access to on-site Nurse Maude specialist nursing services ie Continence, Wound Care and Stomal Care.
Associated Complexes Ready access to all Nurse Maude Services.
