| As the first registered Edenising home in NZ we are the leader in this culture change to improve the lives of resident elders. The Eden Alternative (R) describes the three plagues of old age as loneliness, helplessness and boredom. These plagues account for the bulk of suffering of the older person and are plagues of the spirit. More deadly than physical disease, and harder to overcome.
We work to create a human habitat, where elders have close and continuing contact with plants, animal and children, as these provide the antidotes to the three plagues and improve quality of life. |
