HOMESTEAD ILAM HOME & HOSPITAL
MISSION STATEMENT To provide an environment for the care of older people which they will find safe, secure, stimulating and interesting. It will have a happy and caring atmosphere, and will be a place they will be proud to have families and friends visit and if they wish, to join with them in activities of daily living. PHILOSOPHY We believe the following to be of critical importance: That each Resident is an individual, unique in their own right, a member of the family and community which is Homestead Ilam. As an individual, they have physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs which are unique to them. They have a right to achieve the optimum quality of life regardless of their age, any disability they may have, their creed or their gender. That the most effective way to meet the challenge provided by the aging process and any accompanying disability is to ensure that each Resident is given every opportunity to function as an autonomous person, with choices and opportunities regarding their care and their involvement in all aspects of daily living.
