| Pasifika Integrated Health Care Limited (PIHC) Home-Based Support Services provide a free service that is funded by Ministry of Health, District Health Boards and ACC.
Those with a disability are entitled to personal care so that they can continue to live in the comfort of their own home. PIHC offers household management and personal care assistance, which is available from Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm (after-hours and weekends by arrangement). Perhaps you can do most things with relative ease but need assistance with washing, for instance - these kinds of chores can be taken care of. If you have difficulty with getting your shopping or making it to appointments to see your GP, a PIHC caregiver can get you there. For a greater sense of security at night PIHC offers sleepovers - whereby a caregiver will stay over. PIHC also provide home based rehabilitative services which are also free if you are an ACC claimant. Services available include: home help and sleepovers but additionally you can benefit from childcare and home based training in activities of daily training. Additionally PIHC runs support Clinics to allow people access to medical information. These Clinics are conducted by a Registered Nurse who has extensive experience in community health and health education. The Nurse will be able to offer a wide range of advice on health related issues and help you to access appropriate health services. Also the Nurse can conduct health checks such as: blood pressure, monitor diabetes status, check your weight, discuss one-to-one personal health related issues. Please note: Clients who meet the Ministry of Health criteria of disability through Needs Assessment and Service Coordination Agency (NASC), in Waitemata DHB, Auckland DHB and ACC will be entitled to assistance from PIHC. |
| Pasifika Integrated Health Care Ltd provides services for Under 65yr clients and ACC clients on an Auckland wide basis - Rodney District and North Shore, West Auckland, and Central and South Auckland.
We also provide services for clients 65yrs+ residing within the Waitemata District Health Board and Auckland District Health Board areas. |
