Panacea Healthcare - Counties Manukau
|
Panacea Healthcare has been enhancing the quality of life, dignity and independence of New Zealanders in their homes for over thirty years.
We work in partnership with people and their families, providing a range of services from home based personal care, specialist nursing services through to serious injury care. Panacea Healthcare is also a contractor provider to ACC for serious and non serious injury clients. What sets’ us apart is our experience and our holistic approach to healthcare - we are dedicated healthcare professionals who really understand and listen. We try to make the process of arranging home care as simple and stress free as possible by:- • listening to you • taking the time to understand your needs • explaining the options available to you • having a qualified nurse conduct an assessment of your specific care needs • helping you to determine whether you are eligible for services through the DHB • matching you with the right team of support workers Everyone is unique which is why we strive to meet a client’s individual needs. Our commitment to clients is that they shall receive services in a manner that recognises their individual values and beliefs. We recognise the Treaty of Waitangi as being a fundamental document that underpins the way in which our care and services are delivered. Implicit to this, Te whare tapa wha is a recognised model of wellness that supports our holistic approach and can be applied to any health issue. It ensures the physical health (Taha Tinana), spiritual health (Taha Wairua), family health (Taha Whanau) and mental health (Taha Hinengaro) are in healthy balance. Service Quality Panacea Healthcare is certified to the New Zealand Home and Community Support Sector Standards. |

| Panacea Healthcare provides a range of home care services that are available privately as well as through DHB and ACC care programs. Whether you live in your home or in a care facility we will develop a personalised plan to meet your needs.
* 1 - 24 Hour Care | Urgent Service Outside Normal Office Hours Care can be provided from 1 to 24 hours, depending on a client’s need. Our 24 hour urgent service means care can be accessed at any time, including weekends and holidays. * Serious Injury Over eighty percent of the support we provide for ACC claimants is for people who are living with a serious injury such as a traumatic brain injury or a serious spinal injury. We build a team of support workers with the right skills to ensure that a client is always supported effectively and safely. We offer family members the opportunity to receive specialist training and support from our team and also the management of payroll for family. * Palliative Care We help families support their loved ones. Our support is completely flexible, from one hour support during the day to help with some cleaning or shopping, or providing assistance needed during the night to allow others to rest. This service could be funded by the Ministry of Health under the Carer Support programme, funded by Hospice or paid privately. * Companionship For individuals who live alone and who feel isolated our support workers provide companionship through personal visits to the home to share a cup of tea or go for a walk. They also accompany clients on outings or to special events. * Over-Night Support: Sleepover Support | Bed n Breakfast From a little support to comprehensive support, Panacea’s overnight care packages enable clients to receive the level of support they wish. The Sleepover Support service provides security for clients during night-time, starting anytime in the evening for up to 8 hours. The Bed ‘n’ Breakfast service gives that ‘extra’ comfort by providing an extended period of support for up to 12 hours. * Personal Care Our trained staff can help with personal hygiene care such as grooming, washing and bathing, basic hand and foot care, dressing, assistance with eating and helping clients move safely into chairs, beds or vehicles. * Home Support | Meal Preparation Panacea Healthcare makes living at home easier for individuals who need assistance with routine household activities. We provide services that include light housekeeping, meal preparation and laundry. We also escort clients on shopping trips and to appointments. * Nursing Services Panacea Healthcare has an extensive range of expertise within our resource base enabling the provision of high quality care. Unlike a number of other organisations we can provide professional Nursing Services on a full or part time basis for clients in their homes: Terminally ill clients; clients recovering from surgery; clients requiring wound care, Blood pressure monitoring or Medication management. |
