Nurse Maude provides Community Nursing and Homecare for anyone who needs care so they can choose to remain in their own home, rather than a hospital or residential care, or for additional support after surgery.

Our Community Nursing team of Registered Nurses provides clinical assessment and care, while our highly skilled team of Enrolled Nurses and Health Care Assistants provide ongoing care and support.

Working in partnership with clients to develop a plan of care the Community Nursing Team provides clinical care such as IV therapy, wound dressings, eye drops, catheter care and medication management, as well as care for people with diabetes, and palliative needs.

Treatment, advice and support with health concerns is provided in the client's own home, and, within Christchurch city, there is the security of nursing support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rural areas have access to telephone support from a district nurse.
