Help for those at home

La Famia Foundation NZ - Palliative Support Service

The La Famia Foundation established in New Zealand, provides a range of services and support.
The primary objective of La Famia is to provide accountable and sustainable community sourced and based family management and support programmes through its academic training school and professional agency of networked family care professionals.

The La Famia Management system redefines and empowers the family at the community level. This is accomplished through advanced family education and shared responsibility to include the identification and employment of community participants and existing resources.

La Famia supports the idea that communities can balance the choice of parental employment both within and outside of the family structure with community based in-home pre-school childcare, youth development programs and advanced parental and family management courses in all areas of domestic support.

The Foundation strives to assist in the provision of opportunities for caring people to enter the work force commercially or domestically through La Famia. Those who have undertaken La Famia Family Management courses can provide support and assistance to the community with a wide range of needs including those with disabilities, palliative support general in home support and domestic care for people of all ages.

La Famia is a charitable trust funded in part from donations from La Famia partner businesses that donate a proportion of their annual profits to the Foundation. Costs for services maybe subsidized by Government Agencies, District, Health board, Primary Health Organizations or in special circumstances by the foundation itself.
