Hospice palliative care is specialised care by a multidisciplinary team for patients with a limited prognosis and who are unresponsive to curative treatment. Hospice’s holistic approach to palliative care focuses on quality of life for both the patient and their family & whanau. Hospice EBOP supports patients and their whanau, to assist the patient to: be cared for at home, to live each day as fully as possible and to die with dignity in the place of their choice. Among many services, Hospice EBOP provides nursing care in patients' homes, loan of equipment, and grief/bereavement support.
