WELCOME TO ILAM LIFECARE
Our aim is to provide the best possible living experience for people in their later years. We have taken the utmost care to create an environment that fulfills the needs of individuals, whether they are seeking an independent lifestyle, or requiring more support. Designed by respected architect Paul Foley, Ilam Lifecare offers premium apartments and studios in a warm and welcoming environment. All units are private and self-contained, yet fully serviced by our trained staff to provide peace of mind and the ultimate in comfort and security. There is also a village arcade and a variety of lounges, dining areas and outdoor gardens where residents can socialise and enjoy fresh air and change of scenery. CRESSY UNIT At Ilam Lifecare we understand that caring for someone who is developing dementia and experiencing confusion and memory loss can be difficult and demanding. Our specially designed Cressy Unit help residents find their orientation through the use of visual cues. Easily accessible garden and lawn areas provide a safe and secure outdoor environment. Dining, livings and outdoor areas are connected so that residents can move about freely. Staff working in the Cressy Unit, including registered nurses are chosen for their tolerance, understanding and ability to manage difficult behaviour. Completion of the ACE Dementia Training Programme is a requirement of all staff working in the unit. Our facility also offers these services: |

| We take security very seriously. The village is constantly under security surveillance, with access controlled by electronic gates. Security staff are on site every day of the year, and each unit has a nurse call button for immediated assistance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Ilam Lifecare has been designed to allow maxium enjoyment of the outdoors. A variety of sunny, yet sheltered outdoor areas add to the feeling of a social village environment. We are conveniently located in a pleasant residential area We are close to Westfield (Riccarton) Mall and the Bush Inn Centre Mall There are churches nearby There is a bus route at the gate, including the Orbiter for easy travel to the city and suburbs. |
