Te Oranganui Iwi Health Authority embraces the essence of holistic health and wellbeing that will ultimately provide wellness for whanau, hapu, iwi and others in the region. TOIHA is governed by three iwi - Ngati Apa, Nga Rauru and Whanganui. Their strategic focus is to make a positive health difference in the lives of whanau, hapu and iwi through our professional health organisation.
Te Oranganui Iwi Health Authority is a leading service distributor of health care providing a quality service contributing to the independence and self-determination of Tangata Whenua. The overall goal of this is a commitment to assist with the attainment of full health and wellness by facilitating whanau, hapu, and iwi wellbeing through the traditional and social structures of Tangata Whenua.
