Special Features
We are the nearest Rest Home to the Town. It is a short, flat walk to attend appointments and for shopping or an ice-cream. A family home away from home. Home cooked meals. Residents are not just a number, every endeavour is made by the staff to make individuals a member of a happy family. We are well staffed so that our caregivers can spend time and chat with the residents. The Nurse Manager is available to take the residents to appointments outside the Home if family are not available.
The plan is to add more ensuites in the new future.

Over the last few years we have extended our home from 18 beds to 24. There are now four ensuited, two double and twelve single rooms. All rooms have hand basins.

We like to create a happy home full of fun, laughter, music and hands on care.

Residents families are always welcome.

Details re Meals Good, basic home cooked meals. Fresh baking everyday. The residents say the meals are too generous. They really enjoy them. Muffins, sandwiches, fruit etc are available between meals. Monthly discussions with residents about the menu. To date, no changes have been requested.
Staffing Details We have many long serving staff members. Most staff members are mature people. All staff are fully trained in the ACE programme and are up to date in their First Aid certificates. Monthly inservice training.
