Hairdresser Yes We have a salon and the hairdresser comes weekly or as needed.

Interests & Activities

Age Concern, RSA members are recognised, Stroke Group fortnightly, "Friends of the Home" support group (birthdays & Happy Hour, church services (weekly and memorials - Christmas, Easter etc), cooking and craft weekly, family and friends are invited to end of year event, several electric beds, email, entertainment regularly, exercises 3 times per week, garden (gardener will help those who like to garden), weekly Happy Hour on Friday, indoor games, library with large print books, massage when needed, meal options, video's and dvd's on demand, music frequently, notable views (very pleasant street outlook), quizzes occasionally, shopping when necessary, Sky TV at Residents expense, outings (weekly at least) and interaction with other Rest Homes and main Rest Home events, dining out and special events eg Santa Parade and A&P Show and free to follow up any outside social events.

Details re Meals Our meals are cooked on the premises and residents comment on the excellent meals. Main meal at noon where hot meal is served. Roasts, casseroles and desserts are favourite dishes. Sandwiches and crackers are served for morning tea with home baking available for afternoon tea. We welcome friends and families to join us at those times. Should people wish to join us on a regular basis there would be a small charge.
Staffing Details The majority of our staff members have been with us for many years and are skilled and trained caregivers.
Associated Complexes Anglican Care Homes are located throughout New Zealand.
Fees Details/Fees Do Not Include For full details please see our Manager who can provide you with a brochure outlining current charges. The details are different for private paying and subsidised residents.
