Registered Nurse Yes We provide 24 hour RN cover ensure quality care. Our RN/ Care Manager, Stacey is employed full time with Heather and Colleen both RN's providing relief cover. Our Manager Shirley Hennessy is also a registered nurse.
Diversional Therapist 32 Yes Sandra is well liked by our resident's. We provide a varied activites programme, joint activities with other rest homes, bowls, housie, 4box connect exercises and Tai chi. Sandra also holds a National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work.
Activities Co-ordinator Yes On call as required to assist Sandra with extra activities or while she is on leave.
Hairdresser Yes Pat our hairdresser visits every Thursday morning and at other times upon request.
Podiatrist Yes Six monthly by appointment. Other times as required.
Dietitian Yes All our meals are made on site in our new commercial kitchen an are auditored by an independent dietitan.
Accredited Visitors Yes St. Barnabas is unique, as we are supported by "The Friends of St. Barnabas" representatives from local parishes who's aim is to provider enjoyment to the quality of life of the residents.

Lounges/seating areas Yes Our blue room is a more formal lounge area, a wonderful room for entertaining family and friends. There are a number of seating areas around the home both inside and out with views of the garden.
Outings Yes Residents are invitied to go on regular outings in our 11 seater van. A group from local parishes known as "The Friends" hold monthly outings re shopping trips, a car ride, or afternoon tea out for anyone interested.
Rural Setting No St. Barnabas is set in one of the best streets in St. Clair with established gardens of trees and rhododendrons. There is a number of seating areas and we are only a short walk to the beach.

Special Features
Meals On Wheels

We provide and Meals on Wheels Service, Monday to Saturday with homestyle cooked meals delivered to you at home by our friendly drivers

These meals are cook on site and delivered to you and a plate hot and ready to eat.

There is no delay or waiting time to receive a meal just telephone in your order before 10 am and I can have a meal to you that day for lunch by 12.30pm.
Frozen meals are also available at a cost of $7.00 each. Vouchers can be made up for that ideal Christmas gift.

Interests & Activities

We ofter a range of activities with regular van outings, a BBQ donated by a staff member is available. Regular concerts and entertainers provide relaxion and enjoyment. We have a collection of cards for sale, a library of big print books and board games, Breakfast is delivered to resdients in bed, Bowls both here and at other homes, WE have lovely grounds and gardens with outdoor seating, Housie on a Friday for those interested an happy hour.

Details re Meals All our delicious homestyle meals are cooked on the premises. We also cater for functions both onsite and in the community.
Staffing Details We have a very caring team of 55 staff who attend comprehensive in service training. All staff hold a CPR certificate.
