NorthHaven Hospital, Whangaparaoa
Northhaven Hospital is a long-established and valued part of the Hibiscus Coast community. We are proud of our reputation for providing a homely, nurturing environment with a very high standard of care.
Our hospital has always been a popular choice, and has often had a waiting list. As a result, we have now added a new hospital wing, with 24 deluxe hospital rooms - all with ensuites. The new wing named 'Weiti Wing' was officially opened on 21st June, so we are now ready to welcome new residents to our wonderful new hospital accomodation.The living / dining areas are spacious, light and warm and we have Sky TV in our lounge area. We also have some wonderful framed photographs of the local area on our walls - for residents and families enjoyment. At Northhaven we have an open door policy so please feel free to call in and tour Weiti wing with one of our staff members.
At Northhaven, we help people live the best lives they can, every day. The quality of our medical and nursing care is very important (and you can rest assured that it is excellent), but even more important is the enjoyment of each day – making sure everyone feels at home.
Our passion is to make each day as enjoyable as it can be – for each of our residents, and for our wonderful staff. We can influence this through the way we bring care to people, the choices we can give and the activities we provide. Northhaven is warm and comfortable, with sunny lounges and decks, and safe outdoor areas. Our large attractive gardens are a feature.
We know that it’s often the small things that can matter most, and we go out of our way to make sure they happen.

Special Features
Northhaven has been providing hospital care to our residents for over 25 years, and we are proud of our good reputation. The majority of our staff have long term experience in the specialised care needed for our older people.
At Northhaven we offer a range of bedroom options to suit individuals needs and budgets. Our dining and lounge areas are warm and homely with staff always present, caring and interacting with our residents. Families are welcome to share in our friendly environment.
Our on site cook prepares great food including breakfast, morning and afternoon teas, lunch - our main meal, dinner and supper guided by our six week menu which is audited and approved by a registered dietitian. We have both a summer and winter menu to ensure we offer a great range of meals with seasonal variation.

Our dedicated activities team provide a varied programme of activities for our residents to enjoy, these include: Big print books, bingo, board games, bowls, classical music, CMA, flower arranging, gardening, happy hour, housie, aromatherapy, massage, movies, newspaper reading, various outings, parties, quizzies, reading, shopping, singalongs and men's club. We welcome any new activity ideas from residents, friends and family.

24 Hospital new hospital rooms at Northhaven Hospital Our hospital has always been a popular choice, and has often had a waiting list. As a result, we have now added a new hospital wing, with 24 deluxe hospital rooms - all with ensuites. The new wing named 'Weiti Wing' was officially opened on 21st June, so we are now ready to welcome new residents to our wonderful new hospital. The new Weiti wing will have 24 generous bedrooms, all with ensuites. We encourage our residents to personalise their rooms by bringing their special things from home, as such pictures and ornaments. Our well-appointed lounge areas include lazyboy chairs, large-screen TV with Sky, carpet throughout, soft furnishings in warm, rich tones. The best way to see what makes Northhaven Hospital special is to visit us. Please feel free to pop in at any time, or contact our reception on 09 426 3131 to arrange an appointment with the Facility Manager or Clinical Manager. |
